The birth theme must be considered as the intermediate resultant of our life so far across several earthly lives. So it is neither casual or unfair. Our theme of birth is the resultant of our free will and therefore also of karma law or to put it better, of Action, and this represents the programme that we chose for this life, our spiritual evolution so as to return to the Absolute and escape the Circles of Life, of Reincarnations.
The annulment of choice and of previous lives, in this existence, is fully justified because it is necessary to reach an awareness of our responsibilities, and not to live our life in a passive way.
Today we are Doctors, Lawyers, carpenters, Craftsmen or bricklayers, Politicians or Criminals, Philosophers or are Unemployed, because in a certain moment of our life we did something to be this way, and this also applies to our great life, the eternal one, the "Self", the one of our soul, the one of which our present incarnations is only a tassel, a reflection.
So the Karma is the Law of cause and effect, every action is tied to another action which has generated yet another effect which pushed towards a new action, and so this cycle will continue ad infinitum until our soul understands the intimate meaning of its actions and stops reacting, trying to change everything that moves it in this way.
